  I doesn’t work anymore, iOS 7 is very old and YouTube, twitter, mail, etc won’t work, but you can use it as a second screen for your pc

  It's unusable.
  Most apps aren't supported.
  No youtube. No up to date browsers either.
  Default browser struggles as well.
  
  Why does the ios app store show apps that aren't supported??

  I still use it to read e-books on ClinicalKey, the battery still holds up well, If I don't use it it holds up weeks. If you just want to read stuff like ebooks its perfect.

  What you can do to make this IPad usable is you can put new RAM in it so that the IPad can handle more new and demanding tasks more smoothly to get it to work better.

  I had a 10th gen iPad https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxhcEDB3r-OJ3_X5hQzr7k1ZofTQy1ao_U . Felt it getting pretty slow at times even after doing a reset. So I am using that as a tablet for my 5 year old son and got this 9th gen version. MUCH faster, a little slimmer, smaller bezels, all around a leap forward. Plus, for the price that’s about $130-$150 cheaper than a current new model this is a nice deal. I look forward to the M-series CPUs coming into iPads which will really help future proof these tablets better but these latest CPUs are pretty strong and should do better to last several years with no compromises.

  The iPad 3 (factory rest) I was gifted won’t get past the initial approval process. I can approve the device from my iPhone but it doesn’t take. I enter the code and the iPad doesn’t move past this step. The wheel just turns until it gives up and goes back a step in the setup process.
  
  I’m so disappointed. I’ve never tried an iPad and was looking forward to experimenting. Completely unusable.

  iPads have had cellular options since the very first iPad. And if the device you have there has lightning, then it's a 4th gen. The iPad 3, the first one with the Retina display, had the 30 pin still.

  they stuffed the biggest battery, the biggest chipset, the highest resolution screen onto this thing. i bet they made the smallest profit margin out of any iPads ever. it was the highest effort put into an iPad. i will keep mind forever.

  Hey, I still have this device but i did not use it since very long time, I want to give it to my children to play with, i found that the touch is not working, wanted to know, if there is a workaround to plug an external mouse and keyboard and let him use it as a browsing and typing device, beware that the device is locked and the touch is not working! 🤷‍♂🤷‍♂
