  I have been hooked on iPad mini since AT&T sold some overstock model to me when I got my first iPhone. I bumped up to a mini 5 when the overstock one finally died. I have it paired with a Zagg keyboard and a Logitech Crayon, and it really IS my replacement for a laptop. I pretty much do any computing I need to on this little guy, and I love, love, LOVE it at conferences for taking notes. It just hits the sweet spot for me. The only downside of this for me is that some apps only work in portrait mode since they think this an iPhone. Otherwise, all the significant apps perform in portrait mode, and work just fine.

  I did an audit of my intended tasks for an iPad Pro. I discovered that I could use an iPad Air 3 for most of those activities with third party dongles. I also found magnetic sleeves and cap covers that help prevent you losing the Apple Pencil 1st gen. If you never see Pro Motion you never miss it. You don’t lose the opportunities to create and be productive using the air over the pro and the accessories to bridge the gap between the air and the pro cost less than 20% of the price difference between the base level air and pro. Look at the available third party accessories before making your decision.

  I know this video is a year outdated, however I Dont see how one can justify buying an air over the basic iPad. For the extra $170 (or $70 if you get the 128gb), you’re getting a slightly larger screen, with slightly smaller bezels, with a slightly lighter design and slightly better specs. I guess it is the middle of the road ipad, but it seems like a confused product especially since the keyboard is available on both (not to mention that the price gap can cover the cost of a new keyboard). Maybe I’m just biased since i bought a 7th gen ipad, but I couldn’t justify spending the extra money on such a similar product with such similar abilities and features. I don’t see how this is the best option for most people, especially when both products will need to be replaced around the same time due to planned obsolescence.

  700$ don’t just fall off from trees (if you calculate everything together) and it was my birthday and Christmas gift, so I got the air instead of the basic iPad and I’ve made bad experiences with iPhones in the past and thought that I probably won’t use it as much but even when I had school, i would use my iPad to watch YouTube or draw and it has improved my workflow a lot, if I want to sketch something down real quick I can just open procreate and close it when I’m done and there isn’t such a big ‚oh I have to get up and get my laptop and pendisplay‘ mind setting anymore, so if anyone is looking to buy one of the iPads for Art or as a Step Up from a pendisplay, I can only recommend getting one. I’ve also heard that the non laminated display isn’t as much of a problem for most people when they draw but I haven’t tried it for too long myself, if anyone has questions, feel free to ask me, hope you have a nice morning/day/evening/night :)

  I'm a Vet Medicine student and ever since I got this iPad Air 3, I started becoming more productive and paperless. I can study at night without going out of my bed just to open my room lights and sit on my desk to study. I can just grab it and start studying right away. I have an iPhone and taking pictures of my professor's lectures and just automatically syncs in with iCLoud just made my life even better and easier. I love .

  I have one of these and am pretty disappointed in it. It is way too thin, mine has bent with only being used in my house Not taken outside at all. So the screen now responds randomly to touch. Poor engineering decisions in the name of marketing.
