I had a HTC Desire C. I might try and get it up and running again, shame 3G networks are going down.
@user_kcefknirdslrig 2024-02-25T11:15:28Z
this was just a htc hd2 ( thus flashing hd2 to android was a easy port ) and also same hardware as hd7 windows phone

I use to mod my samsung to have the sense dock😂😂😂😢😢 miss those days. Flash a new rom everyday. I was addicted.

This was my very first and most memorable smartphone. Absolutely loved it, and it was great to see it 'alive' again for a couple of minutes. Cool video.
@user_niasuhifahsliame 2023-09-18T14:29:38Z
I still have my first Android phone - HTC Desire S (successor of Desire). It still works exactly as designed. Just that I had to replace batteries a couple of times since. Mine is a LCD screen but the colours are really amazing. I remember people carrying iPhone 4S being jealous of this phone's features like amazing screen quality, Bluetooth, customisation, etc. The camera was fine for me. No complaints. The shutter was really fast so it did well for me thanks to its 1.1GB RAM and 1 GHz processor.
@user_sretaW_rekraD 2023-07-18T11:52:09Z
My first (real) smartphone was a htc desire, and shortly after desire s. I still have my desire s lying around. 😅

I have one, works well but can't log into gmail/android store. Does anyone know how to install a newer Android on it?
@user_67yfes 2022-12-14T13:33:31Z
I just "resurrected" two old HTC phones that I found in my drawer, the "HTC Magic" which is literally the 2nd Android device ever, still charges and boots (Android 2.3.7!) and the "HTC Desire S" which is by far my most favourite version and comes with HTC Sense UI 3.6 and Android 4.0.4 and my contacts and gmail still actually worked!
HTC Sense UI design, that gorgeous elegant (weird idiotic stupid name: "skeuomorphism") 3D design that still runs smooth with all it's stunning animations. Comparing that to today boring flat-ass lack of any design (another stupid name: material design), and i'd go back to the old phone in a heartbeat!
@user_r7salogel 2022-11-02T19:33:49Z
HTC Desire was my dream phone at the time. Unfortunately I never had the money to buy it
@user_giggnok 2022-10-13T07:18:45Z
Htc desire was my first smart phone, is one of my favorite phones I've had and it still works :)

Where can I get the battery for the HTC desire now?
@user_7228reklaw-esircsiwel 2022-09-16T02:28:41Z
Watched on my Motorola Edge S! 👍🏼🧡🤍😍
@user_CBXTekiM 2022-09-08T08:57:42Z
One thing this phone (and many others in its generation) have over modern smartphones is that you can easily replace the battery.
@user_4048letaPhtraP 2022-08-25T03:28:06Z
No can beat HTC if it’s play right cards no one
@user_2364noselonairb 2022-06-18T08:47:01Z
Smartphones haven’t really changed 2007-2022 in my opinion yes there faster slimed brighter but the root of it’s the same a brick device with a touch screen download apps and surf the web . I get prim-us of this video but an iPhone 4 back then was really great with a Retina display and honestly to many people it wouldn’t stand out to much because so many people rock the similar iPhone 8
@user_1932xraps 2022-03-31T06:10:40Z
I had this phone, unbelievably strong,, the internal memory was ridiculously low though, something like 250mb after the operating system was taken off. I thought this screen was massive at the time, got the 6.8 " s 22 ultra now, thank god Samsung pioneered large screen phones. My first phone was the Samsung V200, flip phone with a swivel camera, and the best physical keyboard, with a slope to all the keys.
@user_7814gwms 2022-03-29T14:05:21Z
Ffs someone remake the HTC Sense clock/weather app.
@user_4066yofgiarc 2022-02-28T21:09:35Z
I didnt get to have this one I had the desire hd
@user_506maerdyad 2022-02-24T08:29:08Z
That HTC desire with root was a great device, psx emulator, ps3 wireless controller, ambled screen. And mouse track was sick. But the multitude sucked balls and suffered from tracking.
Massive upgrade from a w200i Sony Ericsson.
@user_sirotsensiruba 2022-01-17T21:17:26Z
I still use this as a substitute to my dead S10
@user_D4991dnalloH 2022-01-04T10:27:51Z
Ah cyanogenmod on this one
@user_8403tnalpalyeroc 2022-01-04T08:36:16Z

@user_35682yttocs 2021-12-31T23:38:03Z
Reply if I had one? Hell im still using mine. Lol. But I'm getting a new phone next week... :)
@user_noisiVkaelB 2021-12-14T22:32:51Z
The internal storage situation was so bad, that installing facebook, Whatsapp and updating the built in Apps would ruin the experience completely. After two years, it was not even worth using as a hand me down device, as it would flood the inexperienced user with warnings and crashes due to memory running out and the person you gave it to would turn back to you for advice. Even an sd Card extension hack would not bring much relieve, as part of the apps would always stay on the internal ROM. Beyond 2011 and a few behind the scenes updates to the android market or Google Play Services this device crawled to a halt. So HTC basically made a self destructing phone and I never bought from them again…
@user_reitrop-yroh 2021-12-14T17:37:03Z
For me HTC Desire Z was a pinnacle of the mobile phone technology.
- Compact size - Handy physical qwerty keyboard - Android system - Great button that had also touch sensor and could be used as a touchpad mouse - LED diode for signalizing stuff (It was around the time that those diodes started returning to phones) - Battery that could be taken out and replaced with a new one bought online in just seconds
After that phone companies just stopped caring for making good stuff and started looking for ways to make more money instead, so no jack, because they get more money selling Bluetooth headphones. No access to the battery because they want you to boy a new phone and will even make sure that replacing just the battery won't be affordable. Removing more and more physical buttons because it's cheaper to produce a phone without those. (in 2021 we're down to 3 as standard, I wonder when we will have just 1 or no buttons at all). They just want to make the cheapest device that will be able to hold the pest possible CPU, GPU and camera and people go for it because there is no other choice.
1:03 I had the HTC desire back then, and now I have the 8t, the big screen really feels much better
@user_tactac783 2021-11-16T06:21:28Z
can someone on discord help me mod this
@user_tactac783 2021-11-13T08:43:09Z

@user_27yneloj 2021-10-19T19:30:21Z
Loved mine, but battery life was abysmal. This was my first smartphone too
@user_siknohappmot 2021-10-06T16:44:21Z
I still use Nokia c2-01 today as my main phone. I could qualify this device easily for today's use. Especially if Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram and basic internet surfing work.
@user_6556ecig 2021-09-17T18:03:57Z
Best phone ever htc desire I miss this phone

@user_dooGtihStahT 2021-08-06T14:19:51Z
I had the HTC Desire S back in 2011, it was my first introduction to the smartphone world, I can't tell you how much i miss those oldschool HTC wallpapers and widgets 😭😭
@user_5117pocnaed 2021-07-26T08:06:02Z
I don't like new phones. Too big too bulky and too thin, easy to brake. I like HTC from back then, had HTC Sensation. Really qooll phone, just needed bigger battery capacity.
@user_meridleztI 2021-07-18T22:49:30Z
This was my first smartphone. I still have it. I paid $600 and it was worth every penny. I now have a Samsung A71 which drops the calls all the time. Simply put, it does not compare to my old HTC.
@user_1023airolgaqirat 2021-06-15T12:45:20Z
My first smartphone
@user_ijjeU 2021-05-02T06:37:32Z
Baked in apps can be updated. The update just installs to the regular app storage. Even back then.
You can't uninstall the apps, however.

@user_566straam 2021-03-31T17:26:08Z
I desired this when it came out but it was way out of my price range. Got my first Android when HTC Wildfire came out, Desire's little cousin. Damn, I miss good old HTC Sense and ton of physical buttons 😍
@user_80tnakus 2021-03-28T02:02:33Z

@user_romertsuitangi 2021-02-03T10:48:24Z
Anybody knows where to get that sleak minimalistic Pixel 5 Wallpaper around 1:09??
@user_novadarb 2021-01-31T13:21:59Z
HTC Sense still looks great. People loved this Android launcher because it was so well thought out.
@user_novadarb 2021-01-31T12:50:13Z
Such a shame HTC couldn't keep up. They were the OnePlus of their day.
@user_novadarb 2021-01-31T12:47:16Z
HTC Desire was my first non-Windowa smartphone. Such a good phone. The first phone that could take on iPhone.
@user_wapetiL 2021-01-17T16:59:17Z
HTC desire was my first android. It was so cool back then. Before that i had a nokia 6120 classic, and the nokia n86 8mpix.
But compared to 2020, i'd rather use my oneplus 8 pro tho 😂 This would've been like a $50k prototype device back then. Better than most pcs at the time.
Well the lockscreen pattern is actually faster than FaceID😂
@user_xartlap 2020-12-29T12:31:40Z

HTC Desire S was my first smartphone 🙂
@user_renwOenohPiduorP 2020-12-24T18:50:55Z
I feel like the first gen AMOLED displays looked really colorful. Even in this video, the Desire’s AMOLED looks more colorful vs the 2020 phone next to it. I miss those 1st gen AMOLED displays. Not color accurate, but they were pure eye candy. Am I the only one who has noticed this??

@user_4183eltrutijiem 2020-12-23T14:57:19Z
I remember when an HTC was my heart's desire but way out of my league! Now so quaint beside a Note 20 Ultra. Still love that clock and weather app though.
@user_6913ihseruqhalluifas 2020-12-23T08:37:54Z
Those HTCs had so much personality 😍
@user_yllussirhc 2020-12-23T07:28:03Z

@user_9769elcarottehr 2020-12-22T20:59:34Z
Still have mine, in my stack of 25+ smartphones and still works. Updated to Kitkat, all apps from that time, including YouTube still work because I stopped any updates after Kitkat. Updates of all apps are bloatware designed to slow performance so you'll buy more ram and rom in a vicious circle. Windows 98 had more features and is tiny compared to 10. Cheers
@user_8033ifiuolmarka 2020-12-22T17:06:28Z

HTC Desire will always have a special place in my heart. Easily one of my favourite phones of all time.
@user_dyehoyider 2020-12-22T16:18:01Z
HTC Sense UI was the best Android skin at the time IMO.

@user_nerobgniN 2020-12-22T12:05:05Z
The truth is Samsung cut off its AMOLED supply to HTC so that they can kill its competitor.
@user_RLXsageM 2020-12-22T11:44:23Z
The first Android version I saw was Ice Cream Sandwich so idk what it was like to use anything before that. And the first version I used was Jelly Bean 4.1.1.
@user_ow7dg-kcire 2020-12-22T10:20:46Z
Have an old Sensation XE as a gift from friend, but the touchscreen broke 1 month after use, now it is stored. If only the screen not being defect, could have used it as a feature phone
@user_481nusitsirc 2020-12-22T04:49:43Z
Most beautiful devices of that time.I hope HTC will be able to come back.
@user_06004jc 2020-12-22T03:24:42Z
I remember I wanted the HTC Desire and the EVO 3D so bad
@user_8891xdtterraG 2020-12-21T23:25:44Z

@user_oegkarames 2020-12-21T23:21:16Z
My desire z still works till now...tho not much can be done with it...
I love it's build, the slide out keyboard, the track pad, the shutter keys for camera, the sense UI with full screen widget and lots more
If htc would want to make a come back, please remake these beautiful timeless htc classic....
@user_14821bor 2020-12-21T23:06:21Z
Two phones I remember having back then is the HTC magic and the desire HD later on. I was a lover of the sense skin and loved the HTC browser. To date the best text re wrapping browser I used

@user_2858nogarderifymmij 2020-12-21T21:53:40Z
I wonder how it compared battery wise to the iPhone SE. Or like the original battery vs the SE
I loved this phone I still love the clock widget. One feature I loved is when you unlocked it the weather widget would show rain on the screen and be wiped away by window wipers I loved that feature
@user_.ymehC 2020-12-21T18:25:25Z
Almost 3 years with my actual phone..
@user_gnicar_mahgnimriB 2020-12-21T16:17:57Z

Htc was great back then, today almost away
@user_iikswokub 2020-12-21T14:32:58Z
Ah the phone that create an HTC fanboy within me. Sure she lacked storage but the custom rom scene was awesome. Replaced it with a HTC one M8, rooted, super CID and Android 10 and still rocking it.

@user_seirc_aissac 2020-12-21T10:41:57Z
my first smartphone. I still miss that little trackpad thing. Pretty awesome phone until it ran out of system memory, you noticed the lack of a selfie camera and it was completely superseded by the galaxy s2 and multi core processors

I love it's build, the slide out keyboard, the track pad, the shutter keys for camera, the sense UI with full screen widget and lots more
If htc would want to make a come back, please remake these beautiful timeless htc classic....
