  I had one when it came out. Looking back on it, it looks great; but it's lacking performance now in the new world. But now that we got that iPhone X, I guarantee android devices are going to sell more due to the cheaper cost and still have the same features as a Samsung galaxy

  lol its 2016 and i have this phone and it runs almost all games perfectly and the screen is great. now i cant compare the screen with galaxy s7 but it is still a great phone
  
  EDIT: the battery REALLY sucks though. Which is why i bought a battery pack. AND my dna DOES have wireless charging. wtf
  EDIT EDIT: the HTC sense update fixes so may things like closing all apps at one time and stuff.

  They did change the the app multitasking so you can see all apps at the same time. I had my DNA for a few months and it turned off on me and I could not turn it back on. Months later it did. I broke my apple and had no other phone so I went back to this one after managing to get it on. It DOES turn off on me every couple of days and when I plug it into my charger it turns back on. The battery SUCKS. Besides it always turning off and battery life I love it. But I definitely still don't recommend it.

  When I worked at a Verizon retailer, this phone probably had more problems than any other. SIM card issues were constant. I also thought the screen looked very dim compared to other phones. I will say that it has a great design though.

  Not sure I would call "Beats Audio" a gimmick if Apple just bought them for 3 billion dollars.......  Try using the DNA with a quality set of Beat Audio Head Phones and see if it's just an EQ upgrade.  ;)

  I've had this phone for almost more than a year and never once has it frozen or majorly slowed down. It works like new all the time compared to phones I've had before like the S3 which became total crap a year later. To this day I think it is still as good as the newest androids.

  I've had this phone for 1.5 years, and I love it.  The battery lasts me about a full day, unless I'm running GPS apps for awhile on it.  Although it has built-in Qi wireless charging capabilities, so there's that option for mid-day charging.  And updates to the Android version got rid of the scrolling "recent apps" screen.  I don't even notice the Beats Audio when it's on, and it has a decently loud speaker on its own.  I think this whole iPhone/Samsung craziness caused a lot of people to overlook this one.  Too bad for them!

  I have this phone and its great especially with the amazing update. Its also super durable I'm 13 and i drop this phone all the time and it hasn't broke except for once I shaded the screen but I got it replaced at geek squad but it is super fast but the storage isnt great and my battery goes down even when the phone is off.

  hey MKBHD how about taking a look at the HTC Butterfly S? :) I'm pretty much obsessed with that phone (although I'm in Canada and it's nowhere to be found) for its enormous battery and front facing speakers and Sense 5.5 and then pretty much everything that's good about the Droid DNA. For me it's the awesome, updated version of the Droid DNA and also the perfect phone right now.

  I have a dna and i love it except for 2 things. The first thing i did was download nova launcher because i HATE htc sense in general. And my battery is going out after 8 hours of the phone being COMPLETELY OFF not even in sleep mode, comepletely powered off. So battery life is absolutely horrible.

  The screen decimates all other phones quality and clarity, period. Its only low point is it needs a midday charge, as Marques elaborated. The price now is a steal. I have mine customized at a ridiculous level. I have a ios7 type theme and it is pretty stunning.

  Sense 4+ really kills this phone while Sense 5 is a lighter UI which makes the One scream past the DNA. The DNA is based on the HTC Butterfly J minus the SD card slot and wireless docking. Verizon is the one that gimped this phone and other world verisons of the Butterfly followed. I have the DNA running Sense 5 and it lasted 8 hours. That's fine for me as I'm not on my phone all day. Ask any Amaze user the horror stories of watching the drain before their eyes and the DNA is a great improvement
