  It's a small chunky phone by today's standards, but what a phone. I loved the clock and weather animations, sure they hogged the CPU, but they looked amazing.
  But what if... you could buy a modern 3D phone, larger screen, higher resolution, HDR, and much better camera's?
  It's a shame the idea of 3D died, most people don't want 3D or certainly 3D with the glasses, but 3D beggars off for a few years then always comes back. Next time it might be glasses free.

  Man, this was some crazy ass phone back in the day. I had gta 3 and some other cool games on it and girls asked to play with my phone back in 2012. Nostalgia, I had it till 2014 then bought iphone 4s.

  I had one of these growing up, but whenever I try charging it, the red light turns off, and when i hold the power button, it won't turn on. I'm not sure if I have to replace the battery or if it's a different issue.

  Lol .. Evo 3D, Sensation, Desire S .. all i had :D And 4 Legends, Desire C, Touch Pro 2 and few more :) But EVO was awesome phone :) One of first Dual-cores 1.2 Ghz :D And that display was absolute genius ! I remember how i say o there Pixars films .. animated 3D films fas awesome on that .. Remember baloons how floating in front that phone :D Underworls i saw in it in 3D ... But is bad we dont have that technology now :( Rly miss it

  I've bought it at the end of 2011 or at the beginning of 2012 but not because of "3D" features but because it had decent performance specs back at that time, not a lot of phones had a 1.2GHz dual core Snapdragon S3 and 1GB of RAM for under 500EUR, most phones had either a dual core 1.0 or even a single core SoC with 512MB RAM. . . it was a good phone :-)

  In 2023, I still use it for my go to 3D photos and videos. Because of its small size and sturdy build I’m not scared to take it anywhere compared to my Fujifilm 3D w3, Panasonic 3D and Sony 3D cameras….. yes I’m 3D freak😜

  1:15 they ware extremely popular in Europe, right from the start noone wanted them, because price was extreme, but like after half year htc (or mby only local resellers) drop price under htc sensation, and since evo 3d is basically htc sensation with 3d and extra 512mb ram, it was awesome deal, i did get my brend new for something around 220usd.

  I loved this phone, the 3D was really just a cool talking point with friends, other than that it ran about as well as all the other phones at the time. plus the included free 3D spiderman game let me enjoy the 3D outside of the camera app

  I had this phone when it came out. Besides the crap OS, bloatware, low end specs, and dropped calls, it's 3D effect was amazing. I got some cool pics still saved from it, but unable to view them as intended these days. Been looking for one just to have as a collectors item and to use for my own enjoyment again. Funny to think I thought this was a big phone back then lol.

  htc ditched too many features too quickly and asked ridiculous prices for their devices sometimes relative to the competition. samsung was much better at slowly boiling the water in the pot in that respect.

  I guess this phone was just ahead of it's time with that camera bulge, an ugly design choice that everyone from Apple to Samsung to Google is chasing these days for some reason. And the screen itself, which found its way into Nintendo's most popular modern handheld to date, the 3DS.

  I remember that the Evo 3D would chew through battery life in a matter of hours. The nice thing was that the battery was replaceable, so I always kept a charged spare battery in my back pocket.

They sponsored the News 5 countdown at the time, and they took the opportunity to promote the former. The LG Optimus 3D on the other hand, was promoted a little more, but in the end, 3D failed to catch on.

  Still have mine and love it. The camera was pretty fun if you get the angles right for 3D. Remember the Nintendo 3DS had a similar screen although we rarely played the games in 3D.

  I miss the days when HTC made good devices. Now they have gone the way of the dodo and they only launch a couple of budget offerings overseas. The HTC One devices were amazing. They need to bring those back with the all aluminum and the boom sound speakers and a killer camera. We don't need wireless charging on every damn device.

  In Finland this was exclusive for "DNA" operator. It was pretty much most expensive phone at the time. I remember when i went to buy one, couldn't get it without getting a DNA sim card with it... So I bought cheapest possible (0.86e) per month and chopped it in half once I got home. Then my own sim in and enjoy. Mine was the one with golden stripe around cameras. Loved it to bits and i still have it. After that came HTC One M8 and HTC 10. After that I went to Oneplus 6T Mclaren Edition. I miss HTC....

  I love this phone for its unique stereoscopic feature. I use it sometimes for capturing some personal moments in life. Stereoscopic actually adds another dimension to recorded reality and in my opinion it does much more than ultra HD resolution from modern cameras.
