  @ovidmusic I never stated that apple made the first tablet (please read before you post) and the old pc tablets internet tablets or w/e you call them were not good. They had poor battery life, specs, hardware, and not to mention most cost upwards of 1000$ Im just saying no one created a great all around user friendly tablet with all the above problems fixed before apple and now just as i said in my other post all other companies are trying to make a better product with (VERY SIMILAR SPECS/LOOKS)

  @Enj01 Apple did not make the first tablet. Nokia had tablets (which they called "internet tablets" back in the day and they were running Maemo, a version of Linux) on the market way before them, but they were't given any attention. And then, there were also tablet pc's running Windows even before Nokia launched their "internet tablets". Apple did a great job, but it's not as revolutionary as they want you to think.

  @ProwlsFriend Apple perfected it though buy saying hey mobile phones can do fine w/o a keyboard on our mobile platform so lets just make a super mobile os for a tablet device..... i only own one apple device and its an ipod shuffle but you do have to give apple credit because if they didn't make the leap into tablets there would be no android tablets worth buying, lets face it apple sets the benchmark because by having products at such a high price comes quality and features b4 anyone else

  if you wait like 4 months it will be lik $300 - $400. so in my opinion. Flash + 1.5ghz Processor + 32GB Storage + 3d google maps = better then ipad. i say this only because ipad is plain. nothing that big of a difference from ipad to ipad 2. and android is open source so you can do much more to it then apples os.

Apple took an old washed up concept and made it into something new and had it not been for them the tablet business would surely be dead no doubt about that.   @derteqal Okay so maybe they don't innovate but isn't it good that they redefine old/existing technology and make it better for the consumer? Tablets before the iPad were clunky, slow, used styluses, had underpowered/low specs and tried running fully blown desktop OS's on them which weren't very usable on a device like that especially if it had touch input plus the whole IT/technology industry ignored them because they sold poorly. Don't even get me started on what Apple did to smartphones...
