  I had this phone during my first two years of college. The battery went bad (like, I didn't do anything. I went to charge it and it completely died) and replacement batteries wouldn't take in it. I never went back to an LG or Android phone again. Team iPhone forever!

  I have this phone as well. I bought a brand new one on Ebay for $35 in May. It's alright, but it's kinda slow and the camera is horrible. The internal memory on it in bad as well. I only have 3 apps installed. This phone freezes and lags so much. I'm ready to upgrade. I'm just waiting on Verizon to allow 4G phones on Prepaid.

  I have this phone. It's a decent phone the internet is pretty fast. But honestly the camera sucks especially at night.

  I had this one for about 2 1/2 years. Personally, I hated it. I could only have about 3 apps MAX. The camera was pretty worthless as well. It was also was a little too small for my taste. I would stay away from it.

  Yes. you will have to pay a 30$ data plan if you want internet and apps. But at the end of june around the 22nd , verizon is making it so that a family can share one data plan. Theyre doing this because parents dont want their kids to have their own data plan and older people dont want to pay 30$ extra a month for something they dont use. And also they will eventually later this year do away with basic phones. hope i helped :]

  My cosmos touch is just melting down and I'm thinking about buying this phone online and using it until I can upgrade to something better. Well I got Samsung Galaxy player 4.0 and that's about as good as most of the smartphones (except for the top of the line ones). so i'm looking for some basic smartphone for just messaging app and other basic stuff. So, should i go with the Enlighten or something better but older?

  This is my first android phone, it's really nice, actually, but the battery life brings me down. I have to charge it every night, and sometimes(depending on how I use it) the battery doesn't even last all day. My brightness is ALWAYS all the way down, and I use the task killer frequently to save power.

  @Bigchriztian01 The Samsung Reality does not have a flash on the camera. It has a portrait mirror. Nor does it have Adobe Flash In the Internet browser... I would know, I have one..

  Complete nonsense? Perhaps I should have clarified. This phone comes with the absolute minimums to be considered a smartphone. It will get you through with a new version of Android and is a step up from a basic phone. However, users are better off, dollar-for-dollar, buying a phone in a higher price bracket if they want a true Android smartphone. This phone cheapens the Android experience.

  This phone is a piece of junk. Parents--don't waste your money. If you want value on a entry-or mid-level smartphone, go with a Samsung or something from the Droid line. The LG Elighten is slow, has very poor screen resolution and comes with a poor camera. Activating a phone like this and paying for a data plan is silly. This is not only an "inexpensive phone," it's simply a cheaply built loss-leader. The LG Ally was a much better device. Unfortunately, LG no long makes the Ally.
