on the homescreen, the tab on the side to add shortcuts has disappeared, any ideas on how to add more shortcuts? I've deleted some of them, because I thought maybe I had too many, but it is still not there.

I have tried that and it doesn't work. I know it's a long shot but it's basically the only shot I got. If you could I appreciate it, if not thanks for your time.

The touch screen is horrible, the buttons on the keyboard are way too small, and there are MANY bugs. When the phone is low on memory, (Which occurs when you only have about 400 text messages) The phone freezes. Also, sometimes I notice that I don't receive any calls or texts all day. Then when I take the battery out and put it back in, I receive all my text messages at once. Also I've noticed that the phone has a mind of its own, and it calls people without me actually telling it to. The camera is horrible, your own recorded videos are laggy and pixely, and you have to constantly erase things to save memory. This phone is not user friendly at all, and I would not recommend it to anyone.

It's not the best but I find it to be one of the best choices out there for upgrading towards a new basic phone.

Honestly I don't think there's a Basic Feature Phone out there for Verizon that has a Full Qwerty Keyboard that displays on the touch screen. If there are then I'm just not really aware of it. The only 2 Touch screen that I know are feature phones are the Extravert & Brightside but I know they don't have the Touch Screen Qwerty.

I'm looking for a verizon basic phone that has a full qwerty touch screen keyboard. Do you have any suggestions?
  • @user_81BlacipyT
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
I believe the phone only has the Touch Numerical Keypad. When on it's side you would only use the Physical Qwerty Keyboard.
  • @user_6207ovigig

So a Feature phone does Not require any Data plans. Texting plans you can add to your plan if you want to Text. I am only using Calls/Voice on this phone because I don't Text or use Data. So in other words all you need is a Voice plan to use this phone for calls and you can Add texting or Data if you need or want it.
  • @user_7566lwoblaerec
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z

With the Brightness all the way up you can still identify the objects on the screen so you can still see the dials. The screen is Glossy so you might also have a reflection of other things in direct sunlight but so far my mom has no problems so far.

hi. WELL i text and a few call's but i send photo's as well. My phone is an L G but envi 3 and has always had battery trouble. I am resisting buying a smart phone since I do not like having to pay for a data plan that in most cases I will not use, frankly I do not have the time for much. I use the phone camera some times. So is battery for extrovert going to be better or same????

The Battery life of the Extravert so far holds well depending on how much you use. My mom usually calls every night so the battery lasts about over a week with about 2 bars left so you're actually looking for about maybe 2 weeks depending on how much you use it. My mom doesn't text or do anything else on the phone other than call. Your Battery or phone might be defective causing those problems.
  • @user_4269yrreT
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z

I'm not exactly sure how Pre Paid works so I can't say much about that. Facebook should work but do you have Data on there. Thinking that it's Pre Paid you might have to add some Data plans.

I personally like it better than the Brightside because of the build quality and features it has. I do like the Brightside due to it's exterior design and size but if combined together they would make a great Feature phone. But unfortunately either one has their big pros and cons and a lot of them.

I have found that on my Samsung intensity II the messages are displayed by contact, so they appear like a conversation. however I noticed that on some LG phones all text messages are displayed in a list format, all together. Which way does this phone behave? Sorry, weird question I know... Thanks:)

Yes it has a 3.5mm Headset Jack, I made a mistake by saying 2.5mm in the video but I had a Annotation saying that I made a mistake and that it's a 3.5mm. Annotations might be off at times!

  • @user_81BlacipyT
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
Yes it has a Micro SD Slot, but it doesn't come with a Card unless the provider or person throws one in as a deal. Otherwise you have to buy one which honestly are very cheap these days. You don't necessarily need to have a Memory card it's only if you need to save more things or add media from the computer. You somehow can't transfer media onto the phone only using the internal memory.
  • @user_81BlacipyT
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
Yes so you can find music on V Cast and pay for songs but have a instant download or transfer music from your computer or other devices onto the phone with a Micro SD Card because it won't save files just on the internal memory for some reason.

It's sorta in between but more closer to pressure sensitive.
  • @user_81BlacipyT
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
You need a Micro SD card in the phone in order to do that, once you have that you can transfer files through the USB cable it comes with or though the Micro SD card. It will not load onto the internal memory.
  • @user_81BlacipyT
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
This phone doesn't have Wi-Fi so the only way to have a Data connection with Verizon which will have extra costs. Only phones that I know of that have Wi-Fi receivers built in are higher end phones like Smartphones/Androids/iPhones. Feature phones don't come with Wi-Fi options.
  • @user_384cbm
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
if you use wifi on this would it cost money?
  • @user_81BlacipyT
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
I've had the Intensity 2 before and to be honest I wasn't very happy with it due to build quality. You should find the Extravert to have a sturdier build and heavier feel on it. You'll still pretty much have the same options from the Intensity 2 and overall it's still a Feature phone. If the style of the Extravert fits you then yes it's overall a decent phone for what it is compared to other feature phones out there right now.

  • @user_81BlacipyT
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
Yeah it would come out to be great, but they'd look at it and say well we have our smartphones to make all the money so why bother to do it on a feature phone. I really do miss the old days.
  • @user_81BlacipyT
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
Yes they will charge you a certain amount on how many Megabytes you use on the web if you don't have a plan for it. So Internet, Youtube, Emails etc... will be charged onto your account.
  • @user_2102adnapteop
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
I actually have a question... I dont have the data package on the phone I have the regular contract and everything... so do they charge you extra money to use the internet and youtube
  • @user_81BlacipyT
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
Haha Yeah sorry about that! At first I thought my 3.5mm wouldn't fit but turned out it just needed a push! I wished I remade that part instead of just putting a note but I was on a rush that day and never got the time to.

    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
I believe it would be landscape mode where you turn the phone and have the physical keyboard out, but without it out you can only use it in portrait mode and it won't be a full Qwerty touch.
  • @user_81BlacipyT
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
Haha it's not, but the Brightside didn't satisfy me either. Don't see any good feature phones to come as the Smartphone market is just on top and where the money is so most of us are out of luck of getting good regular phones like back in the days.
  • @user_G32hsirT32
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
this is deffinitly not the best feature phone.. samsung brightside for sure!
  • @user_81BlacipyT
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
Haha, yeah the speakers/earpiece are pretty decent!
  • @user_81BlacipyT
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
I usually play with it sometimes just to check for my mom if she has missed calls or voicemails and adding contacts sometimes too. I have noticed that the Screen isn't as sensitive as other phones or could be too sensitive and click on the wrong thing at times. Other than that it seems to be alright. I don't expect it to be Android/iPhone like so it's fairly decent, if you do expect much more then you might not be as satisfied with it.

  • @user_81BlacipyT
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
It comes in 2 versions. One is Pre-Paid and one is a Contract phone. The Pre-Paid version is about $80 then you use it for sometime as a Pre-Paid then you can have it on a monthly program. Or just buy a new one with a 2 Year contract and you can probably find it from Free or for a little money like $10 - $30 with a 2 Year contract.
  • @user_81BlacipyT
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
    Nice
  • @user_81BlacipyT
    1970-01-01T00:00:00Z
Well I haven't had a Hands On with the Intensity 3 so I really can't say much but I have used the Intensity 2 before and that wasn't very satisfying. The 3 to me though looks rather decent for a basic phone and is a bit more rugged but still missing a couple things here and there. Compared to the Extravert you're missing mainly the Touch screen, which can be a plus or a negative because of how it works. It's very hard to say though, because I haven't gotten a hold of it yet. Sorry I can't help.

From what I know what ever your transfer from your old # you should still have all your account balances and details on the new phone. Now I'm not sure if that's a special package only for the phone and if it's transferable or not but more than likely it should be able to transfer onto the Extravert. I would definitely recommend calling Verizon to double check with them as don't have an exact answer on their policies now. You can call on your VZ phone by dialing 611 and wait for a rep.
