  This is the first smart phone I've owned and I hope they are all not like this one. I googled most of these problems and other have them also. 1. The speaker sounds like the person is on auto-tune. 2. You can't turn it on or off without this annoying loud 'song' being played. 3. No way that I can find to not have the screen black out, sometimes when it's been on for only a few seconds. 4. Button/icon response is very sporadic. 5. The worst - many times when someone calls or texts, nothing rings or beeps or displays. Sometimes it's several hours later that the icon displays that a call/text is waiting.

  I had this phone for about a month and 1/2 . It started resetting it self nearly 3 times a day after the first week or so. Also the battery would go out within in 3 hour's of heavy to moderate use, along with it would start going in to apps and such and do things on it's own. At least it was only like 40.00 bucks. I wouldn't recommend this phone unless it's like an emergency back up phone or it's the only phone within your budget.

  Had this phone for almost a year and love it. It lasts me all day from 4:30am-4:pm, it gets half an hour charge and can last till midnight but I normally plug it in at 10:pm if I don't charge it it will last till about 8:pm. It did flip out on me on my birthday of all days. Virgin replaced the phone with in 3 days. But that was the only time it really messed up, factory reset would not even work. Odd it just flipped out but replacement going strong.

  I have had this phone for almost a year the battery lasts me ALL DAY LONG. I unplug it at 4:30am and it stays powered unplugged until about 4:pm when I get off work and start ruffly a half hour charge while I go get my daughter and head home. That short charge keeps it going till around 10pm when I plug it in when I head to bed. As for the wifi errors I only get those because sprint/virgin system is messed up. I don't use facebook but I use youtube all the time without any problems lots of space

  ..also the sound quality for music is pretty good too if you have a decent headset connected to it. all in all I am satisfied with this fon, havent had any of the problems others have mentioned here in my 2 months of using it, but the battery is an issue if you use it unplugged for several hours during the day. just about any review you read on a smart fon will all say the same thing, the batteries just don't hold a charge very long in any of the fons you can buy right now.

  i bought mine for $50 from Best Buy when it was on sale Easter weekend, it's my 1st smart fon & it took a while to get used to.. that qwerty keyboard makes using a stylus a must if u want to txt without making too many errors. i turned alot of functions off, no GPS, wifi, & some other apps that i dont need, didnt install too many apps & no games & yes the battery drains fast but i keep mine plugged in when I'm at home. The camera is better than expected & video is vry good for a $50 fon.

  This phone SUCKS. I've had it for a year now and the battery runs out after 4 hours of being on but not even being used. There are errors with the wifi all the time, Facebook and youtube always force close on it, and it barely has any space. DO NOT GET THIS PHONE.

  i cannot disagree more. by the sounds of things you dont properly cycle your battery. you have to charge it to 100% not just 30% and let it die and over again. ive had my optimus elite for 6 months and havent had one problem yet. (ive also had a soft gel case on it since day 1) TAKE CARE OF YOUR PHONES!

  this phone is by FAR an iPhone 4 KILLER. i own a 32GB iphone 4 and this is considerably faster, and the android browser is far more speedy. battery life is about the same as the iphone 4 also. I LOVE THIS PHONE!!!!

  the elite and rise both have so many problems because ther budget phones stop expecting so much my rise has no problems but others may be experiencing something different the rise is mostly just for people who text a lot the elite is for people who want really good quality pics and also for people who don't txt a lot so I would say ther both equal rise has ics and physical keyboard louder spker and better reception and the elite has more internal storage lighter thinner and has.   i got this phone it really good it as a 1gig processor and 4gig bite of on bored memory and virgin mobile 3s speed is pertty fast i only had it for a few days but like it so far it takes pertty good pics and videos you can use the flash as a flash light thats kinda coo over all is a good phone
