  Remember, this is first and foremost a MESSAGING SERVICE! Why would I buy a messaging device and service plan that summarily CUTS ME OFF with no recourse if I go over my monthly allotment of messages? This makes NO SENSE to me. Garmin may be more expensive, but there are NO SURPRISES. I'm sending my unit back for a refund.

  Does this phone have a REAL GPS SENSOR? Like GPS, Glonass, Galileo? For a rugged phone it's important in the mountains. Some say it does not have a sensor and only uses the celular network for positioning.

  I dont relly get why someone needs 4k on such tiny display, and think that is impossible to get a good sound out of phone speakers at all. Its ok in general, but somehow the feeling is...i still love my old xt1581, despite all the annoying google updates, unuseable front camera and broken usb port :D

  These rugged phones are nothing more than an actual smartphone with a rugged case.
  Mrwhosetheboss tested 4 smartphones. 2 rugged 2 with a case. All survived equally under serious beat down.
  They all died when he hit them with a baseball bat 😄
  The only thing that the rugged phones had as an advantage was that they remained in one piece even after the baseball bat.
  Yes they were dead too, but in one piece.

  I'm a Motorola fan and also a Nokia fan. I love Moto extras very much (Nokia has none). But this review let me down because it should have been Defy vs Nokia XR20. Nokia would most likely win that smackdown BUT... IT'S very expensive just released here in Finland🇫🇮. 6/128 gb model costs 599 Euros without a charger! Charger bought separately makes XR20 about 629 Euros (much too expensive in my opinion).
