  The Droid Maxx was my first smartphone in early 2014. We got it for free with this deal Verizon did on their family plans.
  I was rocking a flip phone for the first year and a half of university. The laptop I had brought for freshman year died on me within the first week or two of school, so for the first semester I had to use the computer lab in the dorm basement to do homework or use the internet.
  My roommates had a Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4, and my girlfriend had an iPhone 5S by this point, so obviously the Droid Maxx was a bit behind, but upgrading to a full smartphone was an absolute gamechanger, it's crazy to think how difficult navigating life without one would be today. Access to a smartphone is a requirement for most jobs.

  This phone still good in 2017, the battery is still great, the camera is still good too, playing modern game like assassin creed identity in run smoothly but some areas& are little lag also gta San Andreas run smooth too,this because the gpu have 4 core this phone actually have 8 core it use chipset call Motorola X8(Search on google for more info) 2 core CPU, 4 core GPU and 2 are use for audio and computing system, my phone run on kitkat i wish they have a lollipop update, also have no micro SD but overall it a good phone

  I will later go back and say that the Motorola Droid Turbo is a dam good phone and from time to time i wish that i would have kept the phone! This 2013 Maxx has been a good phone and really reliable plus battery life is very important to me and it has very good battery life! 37 %all most 34 hrs and I have been using the phone a good bit of the time.

  i just purchased this phone after having the iPhone 5c since late 2013 and i must say being able to utilize my phone for 36+ hours talking texting playing games and watching movies for majority of those hours was more than amazing! three days after purchase i was watching Netflix and the phone was extremely hot and the screen cracked. took it to Verizon and the associate told me he had the same problem that since the back is not removable the battery got hot, expanded and cracked the screen.. so now I'm using a htc droid dna until i can get the digitizer ordered to fix my maxx!

  I got my droid max December 31,2014 I did have a choice to get the droid turbo or I will say that i did have the motorola droid turbo for about a week plus a few more days .I can say that I favor the max just a little bit more! Both phones are very good and I am not speaking poorly about the turbo !

  I was gonna get the HTC One, but after having been burnt twice by Verizon and HTC with both the Thunderbolt and its replacement, the Rezound, I'm ready to step into the Droid world. I just wish it had a 1080p screen. Unfortunately, the only way to get that would be to buy a DNA, and I was not about to be burnt three times by HTC.

  Same build quality, same storage, same battery. The only difference is that iPhone 5s will lose almost zero value over 2-3 years, whereas that Droid will be worthless. So give me one reason why anyone in their right mind would pick a Droid over iPhone. Its stupid. I would buy em knowing it would lose value but that doesn't matter if I can keep the phone for 5 years and just add more storage as it becomes cheaper. My Droid OG is loaded with 60GB cards. I swap em between all of my phones.

  Motorola had the near iPhone build quality but with micro sd card capability. Thats the only thing that kept people buying Droids. See I don't see any reason to go with Droid line anymore, over iPhone. Why Motorola why? Its gotta be fucking google thats forcing the change.

Droid Maxx for about $20.00 ; Without the expendable storage, Motorola is going down like Blackberry. I would never consider buying a Droid now. Its just plain bad move for em. They are done. The only reason why Galaxy competes with iPhones is expandable storage and removable batter. Thats it. Galaxy is a shitty build quality.

  The Ultra and Mini's backs are Kevlar, just covered with a glossy coating, but the Maxx is just the traditional matte finish. I prefer the matte finish, I get a lot of fingerprints on my Droid Mini.

  I love my droid maxx. The battery life and the screen resolution are incredible. The only downside was that my previous phone was an iPhone and so that made transferring music difficult.

  Funny how I have never once noticed lag... The Maxx is awesome. Not sure why people would want to root and lose all the Moto experience such as voice command, and gesture control. Its obviously not getting carried over to Nexus devices.

  You know, this phones looks like it sucks personally. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 rooted with an AOSP ROM running, and I would pick my phone of the Droid Maxx ANYDAY! it just looks like such a shitty concept.... Oh, and the Note 2 has a 3100 battery, just a hair off from this one.
