  I just bought the Virgin mobile one. I was surprised to see how much Google has taken over the newer smart phones. I have a HTC 816, very nice I have had it a year now. I couldn't get the the calendar or my contacts to work also Google has taken over all of these and the yahoo email. I cant stand all the google crap

  I'm supposed to get this phone today. By all the different reviews I've watched I think I'm going to love this phone. The only thing thay turns me away is the nonremovable battery. But that's a small price to pay.

  coming from a zenfone 2, and a nexus 5 prior to that, i must say this phone was well designed. Yes it lacks hardware but I haven't had any issues like I did with the phones before. Also there were only 2 or 3 Motorola apps, and I wouldn't necessarily consider them bloatware.

  Supposedly Gorilla Glass. Now cant be replaced. Stuck.
  
  The screen is hardly gorilla glass. The phone slipped out of my hand.. fell and the screen just got shattered.. quite literally with small splinters of glass actually jutting out. As if the screen was a cheap piece of glass.
  
  And now i am stuck with this phone as no Motorola service center in the whole of Delhi NCR has a screen to replace. Everybody is just saying - leave the phone with us and we will give it back whenever we get the screen from the company. I don't know what to do now. Buy a new phone or try and work with a absolutely broken screen.
  
  An indication of the price about the screen is about 6K which is about half the cost of the phone itself.
  
  So imagine the phone dropping and 50% of the phone is gone.

  I have this phone and adore it - the only real complaint I have is the lack of a gyro. Not that it effects how I use the phone, but I love messing around with Google Cardboard and not being able to do that sucks. Titans of Space!

  Hi Lisa, how is the data/voice reception on this phone?  I've come to expect good voice quality from Motorola, but I don't know what the reception is like on this and whether or not they skimp out in any way in reception vs the Moto X.  Also, I know it only has single band wifi, but other than that how does the wifi connection behave?  Does it have good wifi reception?  Thanks very much!  Love your reviews!!

  I have the MG2.... Although the MG3 has quite a few improvements (including a slightly higher-priced 16 GB, 2 GB RAM model), the biggest deal breaker with me is the reduction of the stereo front-facing speakers found on the MG2, to just one on the bottom of the MG3, with the top speaker being the phone receiver... I realize that even the stereo speakers weren't all that great at high volumes, but stereo sound is indeed a rarity with budget phones... Another issue is the utilization of the same chipset (QC Snapdragon 410 / Adreno 306) as the most current model of the stepped-down Moto E, which only benchmarked slightly higher than the 400 / 305 that is in the MG2... I think I'll keep what I have until I can afford a flagship, such as the new Moto X Style...

  I still have my first gen 2013 moto g and it has been indestructible! And it's still up to date (got lollipop a few weeks ago) so I feel the purchase was worth it, only thing I do not like are the camera (which got better now) and the pretty wimpy wifi reception (compared to my galaxy tab s)

  Last time when people wanted a small, water resistant phone, with flagship tier camera, 
  the Xperia Compact would be the choice. Now Moto G does it with only a third the price of the Xperia.

  I have three moto g 2 gen and their batteries died, if the battery goes to 0%, they wont recharge. Did they fix this problem? if not, this phone is crap. I keep sending them back for repair.
