  Yes, lumia sucks. we have four of them. They are not compatible with ANYTHING. I can't even text friends because my imogees blank out the text message on their iphones!!! AGAIN NOT compatible. VERIZON  never told us these phones were not compatible with anyting.   2 phones will not charge properly. Verizon says they're not their phones! I am just buying their service! :)  Wont do anything about phones and still 1 yr. left on 2 yr. contract. Don't trust what they tell you in the store! WHICH IS NOTHING!!!

  I have this phone but it will break easy so i recomend that if u get this phone also get a nokia case for it. I love this phone and it actually does com in red it is fast and sleek and i personally think it is better then the iphone 4 and 4S in some parts but not as good as the iPhone 6 which has not been released yet.

  having this phone for about 6 mos now...it is fast...but, a typical sell job by Verizon. The phone functions OK. The battery lasts about 4 or 5 hrs. It requires a full charge 2x a day. It is in the development stages and is not good for experienced smartphone users and I am paying for the development. As it turns out I suppose I should feel lucky enough to help develop their product. So far the bad, on this device, outweighs the good.

  You didnt comment on the setting of extra sensitivity for the screen which allows you to use it comfortably with gloves, one of the punch packing features, LOVE my 822 :)

  For a long time I haven't heard much from Nokia and it became an image in the back of my head that represented a dinosaur. Now that old name with that distinctive and exclusive sound from Nokia has been made into a phone that fell into my hands and heart. love this phone.

  I dont get why people are surprised when they realize that windows Phone is smooth, the depth of the UI is almost 0, the onlything that mite Use CPU is when they live tiles update. other then that a duel core S4 is over kill.. The UI demands very little CPU, so yea every windows 8 phone you buy is going to be smooth and lag free.

  I have a Droid X that I've had since 2011. It sucks now. It lags like crazy and restarts randomly all the time. It takes 20 minutes for the fucking calendar app to start up when you turn the phone on. What a piece of shit. Today I'm going to check this phone out. Plus I just got a new laptop with Windows 8/

  What's with the emphasis on "style"? Like one phone has curved edges and the others are rectangles....big whoop! Coming from someone who uses a dumbphone brick they are all extremely stylin'...and it seems that the HTC 8X is a rectangle just like the Lumia 810...but for some reason the 8X is way more stylish? Yeah it's an awesome purple color but honestly, they ALL look great.

  As much as I am a fan of Nokia, I'm probably going to return this phone. It's too simple. The Windows OS doesn't even offer screen orientation lock or a decent music player. The live tiles are fine, but the updates they show are features you can find on an Android phone. Disappointed.

  I have a similar phone and yes it's very very fast, never has lagged, not even ONCE! It's worth it, it's new, it's different. Xbox live connectivity is a big one etc.if you like something different than the typical iphone or an android get this.

  I am asking for this phone for my B-Day and i toldd my dad for this and nothing else and he said no, its going to cost us an extra 30 dollars a month but this is coming from a guy who spent 800 dollars on a phone ONLY so he could have a better phone than everyone else.   Beats audio was an epic fail. It sounds horrible and the 8X is no exception. I tried it with my Sennheisers with beats audio on (very nasal and congested) and beats audio off (no low end at all). The nokia has EQ options and sounds better all around than the 8X. I have beats myself and am not just some "hater." It's just that for a professional musicion like me, beats are terrible with no clairity. (And I would know, I play the bass!)

  I found the 822 to have pixelation playing Guardians video trailer. Also it was awkward to hold in the hand. They should have used the 820 case even if boring. Love my new HTC 8x in Black :) Lisa, question, do I need a Xbox account if I only have a PS3 at home, I noticed the Gun Bros game wants me to setup an Xbox account. Can I set up the account even without having an Xbox console to play Xbox Wp8 games?

  If your on ATT the 920 is awesome. The design is like 8x easier on hand. I tried the 822, I just couldnt get it to feel right in my left hand without using my right hand to straighten the phone out. I ended up getting the HTC 8x in Black, they had it in stock. But Verizon stores do not match the discounts you can get at Walmart, Best Buy and Radio Shack. It would have been 129, I paid 199 at Verizon's own store.

  My Coby MID9742-8 Tablet doesn't have a high res screen either, but strangely playing Youtube HD videos actually looks very sharp in colors and brightness too.

  Actually the 822 is Verizons model of the 820. And Tmobiles model is the 810. The 822 besides the design, has a battery thats 9 percent larger then the 820 model.

  Yeah it helps considering the 822 screen is only 800x480. The 8x has 1280x720p. So if the SD card and Nokia Maps with Voice Nav is important, the 822 is the one for you. If screen res matters and you can live with 16gb of internal memory, the 8x rocks as well as the sleek design.

  I tried Downloading IE 10 for my PC and there download quits 1/4th of the way thru. No matter how many times I downloaded the Beta version of IE10. They need to make sure there downloads actually work when your trying to install Beta IE10.

  Shadowgun just got added to the iOS platform,Im sure they will release a Windows Phone version soon. WindowsPhone uses Direct X 11 and Visual Basic, so it shouldn't be long before more games are ported over.

  Yeah if I put a case on my iPod Touch 4th gen it looks just like the 8x and the buttons are a pain to press to get the volume up and down and even turning the power on. Wish the movies would be like the Razr M, without any black bars on top or bottom when playing video.

  I got stuck with an upgrade on my Fascinate with NFL Mobile and it never lets you remove it, unless I root the phone. Verizon says after end of the year they will send out an upgrade which takes off there bloatware apps, you can always redownload them on Googles store or Windows Store if you still want them.

  Walmarts website you can get the 822 as a Verizon Upgrade for $0. Not sure how that works ordering a phone thru Walmart if you don't pay anything for it. Maybe they just charge you shipping costs. Some stores have the 8x for 129 like xxxegg (figure out the first 3 letters of that site, I don't like to advertise them). Verizon still shows 8x as 199 I don't know why since WindowsPhone site claims 99.99.

  Hi Lisa i have watched all of your WP8 reviews and have noticed that you have never mentioned the new way that with "Xbox music/video" how you synchronize your own personalized libraries to the phone. I am currently a WP7 holder and love using the Zune software and heard the "Xbox Music/Video" is not an improved version of the Zune software but a step back with a syncing of your libraries requiring a third app called "Sync app". Has MS really made syncing as horrible as it seems?
