  It always seemed short compared to my friends' phones. It used to last a day, now I carry around a spare because it lasts a half a day. I keep the external AC charger at home. I just swap the battery out whenever it gets low and put the uncharged one in the charger when I have time, that way my phone's always on.

  I have this phone. Keep in mind its 2-3 years old now, so it's starting to show its age. The newer models are (obviously) much better. It is starting to lag, especially after it has been idling for some time. My major complaint is the battery life, it is pathetic. I bought a second battery and external charger just for that reason. I always keep the second one charged and on me so that I can swap it out halfway through the day. Other than that, it does the job.

  Yes of course there are alot of people who don't want or don't have data plans because they can get really expensive but yes, if your phone is capable you can use wifi.

  Good Phone...when it works. But when it doesn't (and that's often), it's a ROYAL PAIN! It has so many bugs, and the built in GPS is GARBAGE! I've had to replace my Captivate 3 times, and the final/4th time it's FRIED! The only reason this phone is popular is because it was the first flagship Droid for ATT. Unless you get it for free without a contract, I wouldn't bother with it. I am looking for something now to replace it until my contract is out in Nov. so I can go to another carrier!
