  It should be just plug and play. Have you tried using other mics or maybe your headset requires you to press the button to talk I know some older ones require that if you have one other wise like I said should be plug and play.

  All I can recommend is trying a different charger and if that still doesn't work then your Charging Port is damaged and you'll have to go to a shop to get it replaced.

  I didn't text on the phone so I can't say much about it. Not many people asked about Threaded messaging on this phone but for the Extravert I think people said there was an option to have that. I can't say for sure because still I haven't texted on either phone.

  So for the Extravert it's a bit smaller and idk if you'd like it or not but I find that to be the better phone build quality wise. Size and looks I'd go for the Brightside. I can't tell you much on texting on either phones because I don't text. But yeah that's what mostly my reviews or comparisons are on these phones. I hope you will pick the one you can enjoy the best!

  Hi, Yeah it sure does look like a decent phone but I was just disappointed by the overall interface of the phone because of it's limited customization which I believe most people dislike out of it too. Build quality wise I found the LG Extravert to be a bit better and I have a opinion video between the two phones. The battery life on the Extravert I found was better too. The only thing I like about the Brightside is the look and larger screen and overall size of the phone.

  Hi I saw this phone and thought it looked good. When i went into the store it was a fake version of the phone so i couldnt try it. Would you recommend this phone to anyone? All i will do it text. And it the battery the only bad thing about it or is it just an overall bad phone? I really want some feedback to help me make my choice on a new phone. I was hesitant because i saw it had a 2.5 star review on the vzw website. A reply would be very helpful.

  Nice, I wanted the Rogue for sometime when it came out but never got it because of the $10 Data fee that was required. Glad you found it and glad it still works to this day! I had a Samsung SCH-a670 which was my first cell phone and I left it in my Jeans and my mom washed them and put it though the dryer and it came out still being on. I left it to dry and the only thing defective was the battery. It was the best phone I ever had! But as time comes I need to upgrade so it is long gone.

  I am looking at this, i have the rogue now and i am long overdue for a upgrade, the rogue by the way i lost under the snow two years ago... I was out side calling and calling with the house phone and finally found it at the side of the driveway under 6 inches of drifted soft powder, took it inside and opened it up battery out, set it infront of the bathroom heater for an hour and put the battery in the next day,,,IT WORKS to this day

  Yeah that's one of the major down points of this phone that I talked about but some people actually don't mind it. Because of this design I prefer the LG Extravert over the Brightside.

  Yes you would! You can still go on Youtube without a data plan just that they charge you by MBs and your bill would be sky high so a data plan would be the better way to go!

  I think it would be better than the Pantech Hotshot. I was just never a fan of that phone. It might have a bit more freedom on the software but Quality wise I don't think it can get any better.

  The Phone doesn't have built in Wi-Fi so the only way for a Data connection is though Verizon's Data and no other options available.

  Ohh Nice! If you don't mind spending a bit more money I'd definitely recommend the Samsung Galaxy S3 as it's a much more updated version just for a bit more, I know it's been pretty popular and everything but played around with my friend's S3 and it's pretty nice! Or you can look at Motorola too they have well built phones too, but whatever your choice is will be the right choice! Good luck!

  Haha yeah there isn't much to do on it. If you're really into the Social Networks and Apps definitely recommend upgrading to a Android/Apple OS Phone being that Feature Phones are generally made for people that just need to make calls and maybe text. Do keep in mind Data Plans are needed for new Smartphones though, so sacrifices will be needed!

  Okay, I actually figured this out on accident, but to zoom in on a picture that's already been zoomed...er... If you look at a picture, and click zoom, to zoom in closer, you hold down your finger. There should be up and down arrows to zoom in and out and you just have to scroll either up and down. Problem solved, happy trails!

  Haha Yeah Same Here!! Well I am actually using a Smartphone but a very old one that doesn't require a Data plan and I think is still quality stuff. It's a Samsung i760, my phone before that was a Samsung U740 which I still have today that my dad was using for sometime before I bought him a Chocolate 2. Hmm did you buy a OEM LG Battery for your Octane some of them might be bad at times over the sitting time. Yeah older feature phones were cool, not like now!

  It sucks to feel like we have no choice but to go to smart phones. Its manipulating! I don't need the internet on my phone enough to pay a ridiculous amount. I want a reliable phone. What phone do you have now? I like my Octane a lot but I ordered a new battery and it still doesn't stay charged. The enV touch has been my favorite phone out of any I've had.

  Yeah every carrier is looking towards the Smartphone world now as that's where they make their money while leaving people like us sometimes being forced to move on. I don't really think there would be a carrier that doesn't focus on Smartphones since the Basic phone business is slowing down a bit. What I do for a basic upgrade is buy older feature phones online and use those and those have more quality and still stay cool in my opinion! Yeah as the world changes so do businesses!

  Good to know. Verizon could care less about their basic phones. They are all horrible and can't last the 2 year contract. Makes me wonder if there is a better service for basic phone users since Verizon revolves around smart phones. Being disappointed after 2 weeks is pitiful. I've seen that the Brightside is a defective phone which sounds scam-like to me by Samsung/Verizon

  No Problem! No unfortunately I sold this phone a couple weeks after making this video. I was overall very disappointed by the battery life and I never over charge my batteries and always drain them out before I do but they just never last long. I'd recommend the LG Extravert a lot more which I also did a video comparison to this phone being that it has a better build quality and more customization in the phone. Still it's best to check out the phones in person and see what you like!

  Thanks for your review. Are you still using the Samsung Brightside? Has it slowed down since you got it? I am trying to wait until a new basic phone comes out but my LG Octane is getting worse and worse. Love the phone though. I see bad reviews for the Brightside but I feel like that is the idiots who are trying to compare it to an iPhone

  I drag and drop music files like MP3s onto the Micro SD card which I had in the phone, and why I do that is because it will not read the phone and load files onto the On board memory which is why I bought a Micro SD card for it.

  Ive had this phone for about 4 months now since the tow truck driver stole my old one. So far it has: 1:Randomly called people. 2:Dialed voicemail on its own frequently. 3:It turns on all the time when I have it shut off and in my pocket. 4:Wont let you use t9 word when using the button screen. 5:Wont let you delete individual sound recordings, there is only an option to erase all. I could easily keep going but have no room. I guess it has a decent camera... Not impressed with this phone at all.

  Not sure if you have the same phone but this phone doesn't have Wi-Fi, you're probably using Verizon's 3G Data and probably not know you're being charged by megabyte if you don't have a data plan. But if yours has it feel free to prove me wrong with a video.

  No Problem, the phone was acceptable if you didn't expect much in the software. Other things is that I find that it has a poor battery life compared to other feature phones so that was a big impact to me, otherwise I see it as a acceptable phone for everyday use. Yeah I'm guessing it's one of the older Sony Xperia Play which is a good phone just that it's a bit outdated, but still a good phone! No Problem!

  You can have it set up in the Security Options found in Settings. The Lock Code is only available when you power on the phone, it will not be available as a instant or standby lock for every time you turn off and on the screen. So that is one major disappointment for this phone.

  It has to be at least over half a year or more since this phone has been out because I uploaded this video 5 months ago and when I got it it had been out for some time already. As far as I know there hasn't been anything new with it, but maybe someone has something new on it, not sure!
