  I have this phone and it was awesome. Was. I'd dropped it flat on the bottom of the bath tub and it worked fine, I'd dropped it in water (ports closed) and picked it up and wiped it off and kept on using it.
  Just suddenly (5:30 am) I just got up to to use the bathroom and brought it with me as a light and the screen goes haywire. It ghost dialed someone and took a monumental effort to turn off. I charged it, thinking that was the issue and tried again. It started up a random conference call to I have no idea who and started opening apps like crazy. I finally turned it off and did a hard reboot.I'm still having screen issues.
  The damn thing isn't insured (hello why would I it was supposed to be waterproof and shockproof AND to top it all off it HAS to be fixed by tomorrow as I'm heading on vacation in two days.

  I played with one 2 days ago and I was very surprised on how snappy it was. I know it's kitkat so support might be low and I was surprised to see Verizon with it. I seen the latest phones already but I really like the camera and how fluid this phone is. Would u get this phone even now? I see the z4 was pulled I think.

  I have the Note 4, and was thinking about downsizing to this phone because of battery life being longer. I love my Note 4, but I prefer to have longer battery life, so I'm wondering if it's worth it to downgrade or just keep my Note 4 and buy an extra battery?

  P.S. I saw some comments regarding Verizon. I've been with Verizon before it was Verizon (Air Touch Cellular was one of the original companies that formed Verizon). I have no idea why Verizon loads their phones with bloatware and usually forces it's customers into older phone models, or ones with less capability. It's annoying, but again, like the connectivity thing, the reason I'm still with Verizon is because I can get a signal almost anywhere.....even when my wife and I were in the middle of nowhere walking through an old ghost town.

  Mobile TechReview is always my first stop when looking for a new piece of electronics. Lisa is the best reviewer I've seen so far because she addresses things beyond specs and speed. I was getting ready to pull the trigger on this Sony until I saw the review. The one major show stopper for me is connectivity. It has to be top shelf which is why I've generally owned Motorola phones even though they weren't always the top performing of the bunch. This review probably just saved me from a couple years of grief. Thanks Lisa.

  This is an up spec sony Z2... the Z2 is probably what you could call sonys pival best  phone model akin to HTC's desire range and later M8.
  
  This model came about for obvious reasons.  Updating phones every six months means that manufacturing is left with large amounts of left over components from the last model production run. Along comes Horizon who says 'do us a deal' on a remanufactured Z2 and we will flogg it at the same price as the Z3 under the main sony brand. Should I buy it ? This maybe the best phone sony will ever make so get down to the shops ASAP !

  I've have this phone for over a month, love it! Fast as hell, great camera, waterproof, dustproof, expandable memory, great colors on the screen too. I've never owned A Sony phone, very impressed!

  Like Lisa said if u look @ this phone in a vacuum & it's your only choice if your on Verizon it's one hell of a phone, it's too bad we don't live in a vacuum. I mean it has everything a person would want, great camera, battery life, & front facing speakers  being @ the top of the list. I wonder, u know those cool stickers people put on the back of the MBPro's, I wonder if a Co. sells smaller ones to cover up those terrible Verizon  logos on the back & front of the phone, then I might seriously consider this, I don't like cases.

  Verizon is CONSTANTLY ridiculed for their ridiculous branding. And it tends to disgust and shy away potential customers. Their marketing people must be complete ignorant morons. How can they continue with their outlandish obnoxious branding when SOOO many people, customers, retailers, and reviewers ALL say its unpleasing in appearance and it is something to be undesired. And yet they still continue to do it and, BIG SURPRISE, Verizon's numbers profits and subscribers continue to fall. The "unsinkable" carrier is actually sinking!

  I have this phone and I love it. Sometimes you gotta make compromises for Verizon. Honestly I've grown to like how solid it feels and the thicker more squared form factor. Not a fan of this rounding out trend anyway.
